Ingredients:
Dry peas (Sukha mattar) - 1 cup
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Ginger - 1 small piece
Green chillies - 3-4
Garlic flakes - 4
Salt as required
Oil
Jeera - 1 tsp
Masala powders:
Chole masala -3/4 tsp
Daniya powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
Haldi powder - 1/4 tsp
Amchoor powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
Soak the dry mattar overnight for 8 hrs
Pressure cook the dry mattar with water in a pressure cooker for 20-25 minutes.
Grind onion, tomato, green chillies, garlic flakes, ginger with water in a wet grinder.
Take a kadai pour oil and season with jeera, roast the jeera nicely.
Now pour the ground masala on the seasoning and stir nicely.
Add salt and all the masala powders and mix nicely and stir well.
Now add the cooked dry matar and mix nicely and cook for 5 minutes nicely.
After it is cooked and mixed well garnish with coriander leaves.
Remove from fire and transfer to a serving bowl.
Hot Sukha (dry) mattar ki sabzi is ready to be had with pooris, chappathis or parathas of your choice.
