Ingredients:
Button mushrooms - 1 can /tin
Brocolli - 1 small bunch (fresh)
Haldi powder - 1/4 tsp
Pulao masala - 1 1/2 tsps (ready packet)
Basmati rice - 1 cup
Onion - 1
Garlic - 5 flakes
Cashew nuts for garnishing - 10
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Cinnamon stick - 1
Clove - 2-3
Salt as required
Oil
Ghee - 1 Tblsp ( for frying the Cashew nuts)
Method:
Wash the basmati rice nicely and drain the water.
Take a kadai and pour some oil and cut onion into slices and add and saute nicely.
Cut garlic flakes into small pieces and add and saute.
Add the Cinnamon stick and cloves and stir nicely.
Break the brocolli into florets and cut the button mushrooms into half.
Add the brocolli and mushrooms with the seasoning and mix.
Now add the washed basmati rice on this and mix nicely.
Add salt haldi powder pulao masala and pour water sufficient to cook.
Take care that the grains should be separate and close the lid.
Now after the rice pulao has cooked nicely open the lid.
Take a small kadai and add the ghee and fry the cashew nuts till brown.
Now put the cashew nuts and garnish the pulao.
Garnish with coriander leaves
The Brocolli and button mushroom pulao is yummy and ready to be served
Transfer the pulao into a dish plate and serve with the raitha of your choice..
