Broken Wheat Rava - 1 Cup
Tomato - 1 big
Green chillies - 3-4
Curry leaves - few
Urad dal - 1 1/2 tsps
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Salt as required
Oil
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
Take a kadai with little oil and season with mustard seeds Urad dal hing.
When the mustard splutters,add the chopped green chillies, curry leaves and the chopped tomato pieces.
Now stir fry the tomatoes nicely.
Add the broken wheat rava and roast nicely along with the seasonings.
Add salt and 2 cups of hot water over the roasted and fried rawa and close the lid and let it cook.
Now open the lid and with a spatula nicely stir the upma and mix for 5 minutes by adding a few dollops of ghee for flavour.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with any pickle or chutney of your choice.
You can even squeeze a lemon to enhance the flavour.
