Ingredients :
Bhindi (Okra) - 10 - 15
Cauliflower - 1 small bunch
Jeera - 1 tsp
Cholay masala - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Pudina powder - 1/2 tsp (Pudina powder packet available in grocery stores)
Curry leaves powder - 1/2 tsp (I have given the recipe in a previous post)
Salt as required
Hing - a pinch
Oil
Method:
Wash the bhindis nicely and cut each bhindi into 4 pieces.
Remove the florets from the Cauliflower and wash nicely.
Take a kadai pour oil and season with jeera and hing.
Put the cut bhindi pieces and stir with the jeera.
After 2-3 minutes add the Cauliflower florets and mix nicely and cook.
Now add salt and garam masala, cholay masala, pudina powder, and curry leaves powder.
Now mix the veggies nicely with the masala and stir and saute and allow it to cook.
Now do not cook the veggies very soft but let it be semi cooked and crunchy.
This way you would love to bite eat and enjoy the veggies nicely.
After the veggies are cooked remove from fire and transfer to a plate.
The Cauliflower and Bhindi (Okra) curry is ready .
You can either have it on its own like a snack or have it with rotis or even with any
rasam, sambar or curd rice of your choice.
I've never made cauliflower and bhindi together apart from in sambar... Addition of pudina powder is also new to me... I should give it a try...
