Ingredients:
Pavakkai (bittergourd) 2 medium size
Capsicum - 1 small
Potato - 1
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves powder - 1/2 tsp ( I have published the recipe in a previous post)
Pudina powder 1/2 tsp ( either home made or pudina powder packet from super market)
Salt as required
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Method:
Cut the pavakkai /karela/bittergourd into thin rounds.
Cut the capsicum into thin rings.
Cut the potatoes into wedges
Now put the veggies together and wash nicely.
Take a kadai and season in little oil mustard seeds, urad dal and hing.
Now put the veggies on the seasoning and cook covered and stirring once in a while.
You can just sprinkle little water or even add some little more oil and cook the veggies.
Add all the masala powders and salt and let it cook nicely.
After the veggies are cooked nicely remove from fire and transfer to a bowl.
The Karela/capsicum/potatoe curry is cooked and ready to be had either with chappathis
or even rasam rice or sambar rice or even curd rice.
That's an amazing combo, my dear!!
ReplyDeleteI could never imagine bitter-gourd with potato and capsicum, a very rare mixing...loving it absolutely. :)
