Ingredients;
Sooji/Rava/Semolina - 1 cup
Methi/Feugreek leaves - 1 Tblsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Hing - a pinch
Curry leaves - few
Green chillies - 2-3
Ginger - 1 small piece grated
Oil
Salt as required
Method:
Take a kadai and pour oil and season with mustard seeds and Urad dal ,hing, curry leaves,green chillies.
Add the sooji/rava and roast nicely.
Add the methi/fenugreek leaves to the roasted rava and mix well.
Add salt and mix well
Now add 1 1/2 cups of hot water and stir and cook nicely.
Cook on low flame so that the upma gets cooked nicely.
After the upma is cooked remove from fire and garnish with coriander leaves (optional)
The rava upma with methi leaves is ready to be had with Mango thokku or any pickle of ur choice.
